My friend, the very talented polymer artist, Bonnie Kreger, has very generously agreed to share her Velveeta Fudge Recipe with us, just in time for your Thanksgiving table. Bonnie says this makes a big batch, which can be cut in half.
Thank you so much, Bonnie!
VELVEETA CHEESE FUDGE
1-POUND BUTTER
1-POUND VELVEETA CHEESE
1-CUP COCOA
4 POUNDS POWDERED SUGAR
1-TEASPOON VANILLA
NUTS OPTIONAL
MELT BUTTER AND CHEESE TOGETHER IN A REALLY BIG PAN OVER MEDIUM HEAT.
SIFT COCOA AND SUGAR TOGETHER AND PUT IN PAN WITH BUTTER AND CHEESE.
KEEP STIRRING TILL REALLY WELL MIXED AND THEN ADD THE VANILLA. STIR TILL SMOOTH. I SPRAYED A 9 BY 13 GLASS PAN WITH PAM AND POURED THE FUDGE IN IT.
THEN REFRIGERATE FOR A COUPLE HOURS. TAKE IT OUT AND LET IT SIT FOR ABOUT 20 MINUTES AND CUT INTO SQUARES.

OMG! Is this a for-real recipe? I can't decide if it sounds delicious or disgusting! Have you tried it? Sometimes the oddest ingredients can make the best tasting results.
Yes, it is a for real recipe! I haven't tried it, but I will be making it tonight, and Miss Bonnie has been making it for years for her friends and family! :)
This is a for real recipe. You can also put a little peanut butter in it if you like. I've been making this for 20 years. The hardest part is sifting the 4 pounds of powdered sugar and the cocoa. I usually have more on me than in the pot. You need a really big pot and don't burn it. I guarantee you will have people begging you for this fudge.
I think I just keeled over from a heart attack looking at the recipe:)
Enjoy your holiday everyone!
My mouth is watering!!!! If anyone knows where you can get Velveeta in the UK, please, please, please tell me!!!
Wishing you a very Happy Thanksgiving Lynda - and congrats on your latest tutorial, I am sure it will be a huge success for you, your tutorials are absolutely the best!
Pippa, unfortunately, it appears you cannot get Velveeta in the UK. I made a batch of fudge last night and it is absolutely the best fudge I have ever tasted.
Thank you for the good wishes! I hope you and your family have a wonderful holiday season, too.
That is one interesting receipe. I HAVE to try it but I will not tell anyone what is in it. I have visions of powdered sugar all over me, the kitchen....Thanks so much for sharing
OMG! I can hear my arteries clotting just reading the recipe. 4 lbs of sugar!!!! I just might make it for the holiday potluck at work - that way I can have one piece without being tempted to eat it all.
