September Blog Giveaway - Win A Free Tutorial!

For this month's blog giveaway, I decided to do something a little different. The blog prize is a copy of my Faux Jade Tutorial!

The tutorial contains 16 color recipes, 6 jewelry projects, and 3 mini tutorials. The projects range from a simple white jade pendant to a lavender jade floral necklace.

So, if learning to create with polymer clay my way interests you, please leave a comment. I would like to hear about your creative process, whether you are a polymer artist, paint artist, a jewelry designer, mixed media artist, glass artist, whatever artistic medium you have chosen as your own. How do you do what you do, and what inspires you to create?

As always, no purchase is necessary to win. On September 1, I will draw a winner at random. If you do not have email enabled on your blog, please incldue your email address in your comment. You may comment as many times as you like, but only one comment per person will be entered in the drawing.

Thank you, and good luck!

Hi!
First of all, I love your work!!
When I am going to work with clay or with fabrics ( I also like the patchwork)first of all I think who is going to receive it, what she/he likes, or what she/he would like. But sometimes I get inspiration in the street, seeing a combination of colours.
And please excuse my English...
Best wishes!

Sorry I have to be anonymous but I never can sign in with a google account it just doesnt work!!!

Im loving this technique you are using in your tutorial the different colors and jewelry items are da bomb!!!

I love to make canes with clay. To me its such a relaxing way to use clay. I do not draw well so to create something in a cane seems to be magic for me when I slice into that cane and get to see how my creation has reduced!!!

I have so much more to learn and not enough time to devote to clay, mosiacs or stained glass!!!!

Inspiration to me is usually something Ive seen either in art on tv or even on the internet that sparks an idea or a seed of an idea that I have to chew over for awhile before it makes sense to me!!!

Hi!
Thanks for this chance! I use polymer clay to create jewels. I take my inspiration from nature, infact I love millefiori technique. In this last year I started to try new techniques both in creating canes and in imitation of stones and other semi-precious materials.

Oh I would love to have your tutorial! I live in an area where there are never any classes in polymer clay. I have been educating myself through the use of tutorials. Yours look wonderful!

You know I love working with polymer! I haven't done much faux, but it is on my list of things to try.

Hi, I found you through Flickr. This looks like a great giveaway. I am a artist/crafter that always comes back to polymer clay. I'm self taught mostly through books and tutorials and a lot of trial and error. Working with polymer clay never ceases to be fun. Thanks for the chance to be entered in this giveaway.

I get inspired looking at others works of art. I work in polymer clay, so mostly check out polymer clay work. I usually start out with a project which gets me going on my own afters it's finished.

I follow your blog because of your beautiful faux jade work. I have come close to purchasing your tutorial but always find a reason not to take the plunge into polymer clay...maybe a little case of cold feet, too. I often wonder if I could manage to make faux jade or if it would just turn out looking like mud.
Please enter me in your giveaway...my fingers are crossed.

Bonjour,
Biz _ Lolo ;-)

Hi, Lynda, just checking out your blog and saw this giveaway--your work is lovely and I am sure I have a thing or two (or ten!) that I could learn from you, so would love to get in on the prize! Re. my creative process, I imagine it's pretty similiar to most other people's: I get inspired somehow, somewhere, I percolate my concept until it "comes together", then I figure out what I want to make it with, then get to it and play and see where it takes me.
Sometimes there is a specific medium that I want to use, and the process starts from there (like I see your faux jade and other work, for example, and I'm inspired to get out the polymer claly!). Otherwise it's more means to an end. Thanks, and Cheers from Spain!

Hi Lynda!
I follow your work on Flickr and I am in awe!! you make beautiful art!!

I have recently started working in Polymer clay. Earlier i use to work in mixed media.

With Polymer clay what inspires me is colours, i like to make unusual colours and then experiment with uncommon combination (this is when i make Jewellery) when i am making miniature food, what inspires me is my pantry, supermarket, fridge. I just stand in front of the fridge and pick up my muse fruit/veg/food. take it up to my studio and start making right colours and miniature version of whatever i pulled out of kitchen :D

Needless to say,I have to spend some good time in the gym !! LOL

Shirali

Lynda, this is great. I already have this tutorial but I have a friend that I would love to give this to for her birthday.

This tutorial is probably the best out there. Whoever wins will be a very lucky person.

This giveaway is great!

I create with polymer clay too. I have to say I am inspired by nature and objects around me. When I get a chance, I put on some music in my studio and I just let it happen and see where the clay takes me! Sometimes it is a good direction, and others not. But it is a fun creative process anyways!

What a fantastic giveaway! My polymer adventures still haven't ventured far away from transfers. I do find I'm inspired, like you, by images from a time long ago. I have also tried my hand at stamped clay, just not very consistent in my experimenting.

Take care,
Angie

I am a new convert to polymer clay. I make my little pendants but I am finding out there is so much more that I could do! I love what you do with it. I would never think that what you are making is pc and that is so intriguing to me. I love your work, and althouhght I am not sure that I have the patience to make what you do, I would be intrigued by the process. Enjoy the day!
